Autumn adoration!

Hey Greenies! Halfway through the last month of Autumn already! I'm sure most of you, like me, are just loving the mild, slightly damp weather of this very user-friendly season. Thoughts turn to prepping the home to be equipped and ready for all that Winter has to throw at us, stocking up on all things with which to keep the fire going in the wood burner and warm the heart of the home. Cleaning gutters ready to catch the rain in massive storage tanks to get us through next Summer and working hard to keep the weeds from taking over the garden and driveway as they flourish in the mild weather also! In amongst all this seasonal prep we spare a thought for not just the weeds that are flourishing at this time of the year but also some stunning plants to pop in their place. Agapanthus are really looking splendid right now with their green strappy leaves building up their reserves before budding later in the year, two of ours looking particularly good right now are Agapanthus Blue and Purple Cloud in 200mms, two different growth habits and two different types of flower but a stunning combination if mass planted and a great source of ground cover to keep those weeds at bay. Crassula Mini Jade 200mm are looking cracking right now, a real bang for buck pot full of glorious green tinged with red, thanks to the cooler weather, great for rockeries, succulent bowls and garden beds, easy care and easy on the eyes! Finally, we move indoors to a lesser known Dracaena. We're all familiar with the firm favourite Fragrans aka Happy Plant, but we love this gorgeous variation; Dracaena Marley. A really attractive shade-loving or indoor plant with bright yellow and green variegated foliage. A perfect addition to brighten up the office or home, perfect as a potted patio adornment too! Preferring well lit, warm positions with well-draining soil and moderate watering throughout summer. Allowing the soil to dry out between watering, is particularly important through winter. With a maximum growth of up to 2m in height in it's ideal conditions this is a gorgeous bright, lusciously leafy addition to any plant collection. For more info on these and any other plants on our attached availability list, don't hesitate to call or email. Have a great week! All the best! :) Jo Joanne Hughes Wanneroo Plant Farm Ph: 08 9405 2615
